Couples counselling helps us to transition from self-centred decisions and behaviour to the much more complicated world of couple-based decisions and behaviour, where both parties can develop, grow and achieve or maintain happiness in a meaningful relationship.

Clients will learn how to communicate effectively, disagree effectively, identify habits and patterns that may be damaging to the relationship, build or rebuild trust, and increase understanding of the relationship balance: self (me), partner (you), and togetherness (we). Partners can move from conflict to resolution, based on a deeper understanding of the needs, wants and rewards that are too often just out of reach.

I like to focus much more on the implementation – providing techniques and processes to achieve and maintain the new relationship balance.
